Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Handled, a planner for to-dos, notes, saved links and your calendar, on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and the things that connect to it, such as the Chrome extension and Slack capture. By creating an account or using Handled, you agree to them.
Handled is provided by Akhil Krishnan P ("we", "us"). Questions: help@myhandled.app.
The short version
- Your content is yours. We only use it to run the app for you.
- Handled is invite-only for now, and you need an account to use it.
- Subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple.
- Use Handled lawfully and do not try to break it or get into other people's accounts.
- You can stop using Handled and delete your account at any time.
Your account
- Handled is invite-only. We decide who is given access and when, and we may decline a request.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Handled.
- Give us an email address you can receive mail at, and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us at help@myhandled.app if you think someone else has got into your account.
Your content
The to-dos, notes, saved links, events and anything else you put into Handled remain yours. You give us permission to store, copy and transmit that content only as far as needed to run Handled for you, such as keeping it in sync across your devices and showing it to someone you share a profile with. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your content, and for having the right to store and share it.
Shared profiles
If you share a profile, the person you share it with can see and add to everything in it. Only share with someone you trust with those contents. We are not responsible for what the other person does with content you have shared with them.
Connected services and personal tokens
- If you connect Google Calendar, Handled reads and changes events on your behalf. Your use of Google's services is covered by Google's own terms.
- Personal tokens let the Chrome extension, Slack or an AI assistant add to, read or change the content in your account. Treat a token like a password. You are responsible for what is done with tokens you create, and you can revoke them in Settings at any time.
- Services we do not run are governed by their providers' own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Subscriptions and payment
- Paid features are sold as subscriptions through Apple, and are billed to your Apple account.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in your Apple account settings; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
- We may change prices or what a subscription includes. A price change will not apply to you until your next renewal, and Apple will tell you beforehand where it is required to.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Handled for anything unlawful, or to store or share content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights;
- access, or try to access, another person's account or content without their permission;
- interfere with Handled, probe it for weaknesses without our permission, or get around limits we set;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- resell Handled or use it to send spam.
The app
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Handled on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. Handled, including its design, code and name, belongs to us. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
We may add, change or remove features. We try to keep Handled available and your content safe, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Ending your use
- You can stop using Handled and delete your account from Settings at any time. Deleting your account permanently deletes your content from our servers.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts Handled or other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
- If we ever shut Handled down, we will give you reasonable notice so you can take your content with you.
Disclaimers
Handled is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Handled helps you remember things, but do not rely on it alone for anything where a missed reminder or lost note could cause serious harm.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or business, arising from your use of Handled. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Handled in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Handled or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store's terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them or about Handled. This does not take away any protection that the consumer law of the country you live in gives you.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Handled after that, you accept the new terms.
