The itch
Too many apps, none of them yours
The day lived in five places: tasks in one app, meetings in another, notes wherever they landed, and a calendar that never saw any of it.
Every tool was fine on its own — the day as a whole was the problem worth solving.
Zephr
The first version
Handled first shipped as Zephr — a fast, native planner for Apple devices built around one screen for the day.
It proved the core idea: when events and to-dos share a timeline, deciding what to do next stops taking effort.
Becoming Handled
The rename, and the point
The rebuild sharpened what the app is for: catch anything in a keystroke, keep it somewhere small enough to trust, and stay local-first and private while doing it.
The name caught up with the feeling the app is meant to give you — it’s handled.

Handled runs free on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, with new integrations and AI features landing steadily. Pro pays for the servers behind sync — so the local app never has to be the crippled one.

It meets your tools where they are — nothing to replace, nothing to migrate. The free app is a whole app, not a trial: everything that runs on your device stays free, and Pro pays for the part that runs on ours. We ship in small, steady releases, and honest criticism has shaped more of this product than any grand plan.
